To receive items, individuals and families must live in Waukesha, Washington, Dodge, or Jefferson counties. Typically recipients are experiencing an unexpected or transitional financial crisis such as unemployment, low-paying job, divorce, death, fire, illness, abuse, etc.
To register, clients will meet with a compassionate and trained volunteer and must show a Photo ID and proof of residency by bringing in one piece of US Postal Service mail addressed to them at their current address that is less than sixty days from postmark. Examples: utility (gas, water, electric), cell phone, lease, cable, or credit card; no personal mail accepted. Clients are renewed every six months with proof of financial status.
Clients are able to register on client days of Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 9 am-noon. Registrations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis; wait times are usually lower after 10 am.
